Self-Hosted RSS Reader
Some users’ privacy is the main reason to run their self-hosted RSS reader. For me, it is more about having all the historical data - I want to have every article ever downloaded stored in a database that is easily accessible (no API learning, no custom formats). Below is a short list of actively maintained self-hosted RSS readers.
I’ve been using Tiny Tiny RSS for years and had no trouble with it so far. Easy to install even on a shared hosting, MySQL as a storage and it even has an API. The system offers multiuser environment, so one instance of TTRSS can serve many people.
